NRRA’s Premier Annual Recycling Conference & Expo “Next Level Recycling”

Registration Now Open!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Epsom, NH – For over forty years, recycling nonprofit Northeast Resource Recovery Association’s (NRRA) Recycling Conference & Expo has been the premier annual event focused exclusively on municipal recycling and waste reduction in the Northeast. This year, the conference will be held at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, NH on Monday, June 3 and Tuesday, June 4, 2024. This year’s theme, “Next Level Recycling” will be showcasing new, engaging, and current recycling and solid waste management topics and practices that help take transfer stations, recycling centers, and municipalities to the next level.

Each year, hundreds of attendees come together from across the recycling and waste management industry, including leaders and decision-makers from municipal recycling centers and transfer stations; state, city, and town governments; volunteer organizations; and business and industry.

Food waste diversion has increasingly become a focus of waste reduction on the local and national scale. Our first day will open with a keynote panel discussion featuring panelists with on-the-ground experience and examples of food waste diversion and composting. On the second day, our morning keynote pivots to the concept of Full Cost Accounting, which was championed by the EPA decades ago and remains one of the best tools available to transfer stations and municipalities to understand the true costs of managing residential trash, recycling, composting, and construction and demolition debris.

The conference agenda features over a dozen workshops, including:

  • A virtual tour of the ecomaine MRF
  • Battery and Fire Safety for Transfer Stations
  • NHDES Inspections: Findings, Updates, and Looking Forward
  • Single Stream Recycling
  • Household Hazardous Waste Recycling
  • Plus, two operator roundtables!

Registration is now open. The conference will count toward NHDES continuing education credits for each hour attended and certificates of attendance will be awarded.

NRRA’s annual recycling conference is successful because of the dedication, commitment, and generosity of the businesses and organizations that participate as sponsors.  Sponsorship ensures high visibility and recognition among attendees. Please take a moment to thank our 2024 Conference Sponsors. If your organization would like to learn more about sponsoring, conference sponsorships are still available.
